SETTING THE SCENE / FOLLOW THE FALCONS
• The Bowling Green State University women's soccer team, off to a 2-0 start to the young season, hits the road to face a Big XII Conference foe this weekend. Head coach Chris Fox and the Falcons wrap up a two-game road swing with Sunday's (Aug. 23) matchup at the University of Cincinnati. First touch is set for 4:00 p.m. at Gettler Stadium.
• Senior captain Taylor Green, a defender, has scored in each of BGSU's first two matches this season, shutout wins against Robert Morris (2-0) and Oakland (1-0).
• Fox and his staff – associate head coach Steven Samuel, assistant coach Hope Stacker and graduate assistant coach Anna Young – have 17 returning student-athletes, including nine starters, from the 2025 team. Last year's club went 10-3-9 overall and 4-1-7 in Mid-American Conference play.
• That 2025 squad finished sixth in the then 13-team league, but advanced all the way to the championship match of the MAC Tournament.
• BGSU's .659 winning percentage last season was the third-highest in program history.
