Both Men's and Women's Cross Country open their season on Friday (Sept. 4) in the Mel Brodt Collegiate open on the Mel Brodt Cross Country Course. The opportunity is the first of two to catch the Falcons at home this season. Falcon's Football kick off their season at Doyt L. Perry Stadium with Military Appreciation Day.  The Falcons will be hosting Tarleton State who is coming off a win in Week 0 after entering the season as the No. 5 team in the FCS Coaches Poll. Bowling Green State University opens the season at home for the third straight year, previously beating Lafayette to begin the 2025 season, 26-7, and Fordham to start the 2024 campaign, 41-17. This is the first time BGSU has opened three straight seasons at home since 1967-69.Â

Volleyball opens their home schedule this Friday at the Stroh Center hosting the Best Western Invitational. The Falcons' started the season 3-0 in an undefeated opening weekend at the Jim Stone Challenge, including beating Ohio State for the first time in program history. Bowling Green will welcome Arkansas State, American and Northern Kentucky to BGSU for the invite with all three opponents coming off conference championships a year ago.Â
