New BGSU Concessions Partner Provides One Of The Nation’s Most Affordable Game Day Selections

Fan-Friendly Pricing Delivers An Average 30-Percent Reduction In Cost On Core Concession Items
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - From the Glizzila to the Falcon's Nest Nachos, BGSU Dining, the new concessions partner of BGSU Athletics, is delivering a wide variety of menu options while keeping prices low. The game day experience this year at Doyt Perry Stadium and all BGSU venues will be improved through new fan-friendly pricing with an average of 30-percent price reduction on core concessions items at all Falcon athletic events. The new menu is one of the most affordable in the Mid-American Conference and one of the best deals in college athletics.
Accompanying the all-around fan-friendly pricing will be a student package. At football, students will be able to utilize the concession stand nearest the student section for a meal plan friendly menu. Students will be able to present their BGID and be able to use Falcons Dollars from their meal plan on select menu options. Students will also receive a 25-percent discount when using their Falcon Dollars meal plan.
"Our focus this season is to enhance our game day experience for fans in as many ways as possible and much of that starts with concessions," said Vice President of Athletics Strategy Derek van der Merwe. "From our students to general fans, we're finding ways to be more cost-friendly while still providing a vast array of menu options that are unique to our venues. Partnering with BGSU Dining has allowed us to find creative ways to offer deals for students while expanding our menu selections for all fans."
As for the menu, fans will find the usual game day classics, like hot dogs, popcorn and more. However, new items will take center stage, including smoked pulled pork sandwiches, Falcon's Nest Nachos and the all-new Glizzila. The Glizzila will be an all beef foot-long hot dog topped with brisket, coleslaw, fried onions and barbeque sauce while the Falcons' Nest Nachos will be kettle chips topped with pulled pork, pickles, shredded cheddar cheese, fried onions and barbeque sauce.
The game day classics will be headlined by $6 pretzels and cheese, $5 hot dogs, $3 chips, $3 popcorn, $3.50 bottled sodas and $2.50 bottled waters, all price reductions from last season.
The checkout experience for fans will also be enhanced with a new point-of-sale system to expedite the process. Additionally, more grab-n-go markets will be available within Doyt Perry Stadium to ease line lengths with quick options on the go.
