Two-Day Event Begins Friday Morning
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University tennis team continues their fall season this weekend, making the short trip north for the Rocket Invitational. The four-team event will take place on Friday and Saturday (Oct. 2-3) at the UT Varsity Tennis Courts.

The event, hosted by Toledo, will also include Dayton and Youngstown State, in addition to the Falcons. The action will start at 10 a.m. each day, with teams facing each of the other three schools in both singles and doubles play over the course of two days.
Last weekend, the Falcons opened the 2026-27 schedule at the Eastern Michigan Hidden Duals (Sept. 25-26). All seven players on the roster picked up at least one singles win, and the Orange and Brown went 6-3 in doubles matches over the weekend in the four-team event.
Senior Libby Blair and junior Konstantina Adamopoulou each went 2-1 in singles play at EMU, with senior Qianyu Liu, juniors Richardlyne Francois and Lucia Gaio, sophomore Kiera Taylor and freshman McKenzie Shelton each posting one singles victory over the weekend.
In doubles, Blair and Taylor went 2-1 at the top flight at EMU, while the Gaio/Shelton duo was a perfect 2-0 at flight number two. Adamopoulou also was 2-0 in doubles on the weekend, teaming with Liu and Francois for one win apiece at the third flight.
Overall, Adamopoulou (4-1) and Blair (4-2) each picked up four total wins, while Gaio, Shelton and Taylor all had three and Francois and Liu two apiece.
Following the Rocket Invitational, members of the Falcons will head to Cincinnati for the ITA Regionals from Oct. 8-13. Then, BGSU will participate in the Fall MAC Individual Championships in Kalamazoo, Mich., on Oct. 23-25, before heading to DeKalb, Ill., to conclude the fall schedule at the NIU Huskie Indoor Invitational (Oct. 30-Nov. 1).
