2011-2012 (junior):Played defense in 28 games for the Orange and Brown…recorded three points, all assists…. finished the season with 23 blocked shots…committed 11 penalties for 22 PIMs…recorded an assist and was plus -1 against Western Michigan in a 3-3 tie at home…recorded an assist and a blocked shot against Western Michigan on the road…recorded three blocks against Alaska in a 3-1 on the road…earned an assist and a plus -2 rating in the series-clinching game against Ferris State in the second round of the CCHA Playoffs.

2010-2011(sophomore): Played in 33 games…in his fourth game of the season he scored the game-winning goal in overtime against Alabama-Huntsville (Oct. 22) less than a minute into the overtime period…had a two-point game against the Chargers that day adding an assist to the GWG…came back the next day to add a second assist to his line against UAH (Oct. 23)…was named CCHA Defenseman of the Week on Oct. 25 following that weekend’s performance…had two points in a home series against Northern Michigan tallying an unassisted goal, his first career score in CCHA play, and an assist…finished the year with six points (3g, 3a)…had three straight games with a (+2) rating and finished with a (-11) rating for the season…recorded 20 penalties for 51 minutes…blocked 20 shots.

2009-10 (freshman): Played in 23 games…blocked six shots…first collegiate point came against Notre Dame (Feb. 20) on an assist in a 1-1 tie…committed seven penalties for 14 minutes…finished with a (-5) on-ice rating.

Prior to BGSU: Played for North Iowa (NAHL) in 2008-09…tied for third in the league in scoring among defensemen with 33 points on seven goals in 51 regular-season games… three of his goals scored on the power play…was also a (+20) on-ice rating...played in eight postseason games in which he recorded three assists…recorded 145 PIM…had a career night scoring four points (1g, 3a) and posted a (+5) on-ice rating in his last game with North Iowa versus Albert Lea…helped North Iowa to top-five NAHL finishes in power play killing and power play goals against.

Personal: Full name is Ryan Gordan Peltoma…born on April 5, 1988…son of Rod and Sue Peltoma…has two sisters (Jenny and Molly)…also played high school baseball…was an all-conference selection playing football at Brainerd Senior High School.
