2015: Played in seven games … had three catches for 130 yards and a touchdown … had two receptions for 108 yards in a road victory at Maryland (Sept. 12) … also had 22 yards on one catch in a win over Ohio (Nov. 4) … returned seven kickoffs for 113 yards on the year.
2014: Sat out due to NCAA Transfer policy.
Prior to BG: Rhodes, a transfer from Baylor, played in 10 games as a freshman last season. As one of just five true freshman to see game action in 2013 for the Bears, Rhodes made 10 catches for 157 yards. Rhodes was named to the Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll during the fall of 2013. Out of Southwest High School in Fort Worth, Tex., Rhodes was considered the best recruit in Texas by 247Sports.com. An Under Armour All-American, the wide receiver played in the 2013 prep all-star game in St. Petersburg. A highly touted recruit, Rhodes was ranked as a top national wide receiver prospect by the following: No 2 by Scout.com, No. 2 on 247Sports.com, No. 3 by ESPN.com, No. 8 by Rivals.com. He was also listed as the No. 1 overall recruit in state of Texas by 247Sports.com and on Austin American Statesman Fabulous 55. Other Texas top 100 listings: No. 4 by ESPN.com, No. 4 by Rivals/Yahoo! Lonestar, No. 8 by Rivals.com, No. 39 by SuperPrep and Waco Tribune-Herald (top 30). Rhodes was listed as the No. 2 receiver in Texas by Dallas Morning News/SportsDay’s State Top 100 and No. 3 by Dave Campbell’s Texas Football. For his high school career, Rhodes totaled 96 catches in three seasons to go along with 2,532 yards and 43 touchdown catches. He also rushed for 1,255 yards and 28 touchdowns in his career. Rhodes also lettered in basketball and track.
