Falcon student-athletes from softball, cross country, women's swimming, and women's tennis visited Bowling Green Jr. High on November 18th, 19th and 20th to speak to students about the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle by eating healthy and staying active. As part of the FAMILY Program through the Office of Student-Athlete Services, seven student-athletes volunteered their time to present basic nutrition information and the benefits of exercise. A special thanks goes out to Jessica Easdale, Christine Chiricosta, Liz Harper, Kylie Korsnack, Susan Sontag, Ben Leininger, Zada Lines, Melissa Bowman, and Katelynn Boso who all generously gave of their time!
Falcon student-athletes made another visit to the local community on December 9th to speak about sportsmanship and teamwork. Susan Sontag (Softball), Katelynn Boso (Softball) and Andrea Scharer (Women's Cross Country) gave of their time to participate in another FAMILY Program event. These three Falcon-student athletes visited Bowling Green Plan, Do, and Talk After-School Program to speak to 6-9 year-olds about the importance of sportsmanship and teamwork.
