New 2009-2010 Parking Information

FALCON CLUB PARKING
What are the changes to parking for Falcon Club members?
The first change is that all parking will be coordinated through the BGSU Athletics Ticket office. This is the right move in that while parking is a membership benefit for the Falcon Club, the fee paid for parking is not a gift and needs to be handled through the revenue side of the department. This helps facilitate and streamline the department's accounting and auditing efforts.
The second change is that parking passes will be sport-specific (football, hockey, men's basketball, women's basketball). There will no longer be one pass that covers all sports. This gives us better information so we can track what events our members are attending.
Finally, the third change is the pricing points for parking. The athletic department is required to generate more revenue and parking is one of the areas that will be impacted in this objective. The $40 basic parking pass that admitted members to every home athletic event has been discontinued. Here are the price breakdowns:
Members making a minimum annual gift of $250.00 to Falcon Club are eligible to purchase the following:
- 1 "Preferred" sport parking pass
$18.00
2 "Preferred" sport parking passes
$32.00
3 "Preferred" sport parking passes
$46.00
4 "Preferred" sport parking passes
$60.00
Members making a minimum annual gift of $700.00 to Falcon Club, are eligible to purchase the following:
- 1 "Elite" Football parking pass
$100.00
1 "Elite" Hockey parking pass passes
$100.00
1 "Elite" Men's Basketball parking pass passes
$100.00
1 "Elite" Women's Basketball parking pass passes
$100.00
What about the complimentary passes for Victors Society members?
Victors Society members who make an annual Falcon Club gift of at least $1000.00 are eligible for complimentary parking opportunities at certain levels. Those will be handled on an individual basis via phone.
What is a preferred pass and what is an elite pass?
A preferred pass is the same as the "basic" pass from years past and allows you access to the same parking lots as in the past. An elite pass is similar to the "VIP" pass from years past and allows you access to the same parking lots as in the past, however, there will be no personally, reserved spaces.
Can I purchase 3 sport passes but for one sport?
No. Members may only purchase one parking pass per sport.
Have the locations for parking changed?
The only location change will involve football parking. Falcon Club members with a Preferred parking pass will now park in the grass lot near Cochrane Soccer Field. Falcon Club members with an Elite parking pass will park in Lot L.
I had a parking pass for basketball but for some games there wasn't a spot for me in the Anderson Arena lot. Why have a pass if I can't get a spot in there?
Starting next season, the Anderson Arena lot will be for Falcon Club members with parking passes only which should allow for more spaces, however all parking is based on space availability.
Do the parking passes cover post-season competition?
No. The parking passes are only valid for regular season competition games. There are additional costs incurred when BGSU hosts NIT, WNIT or CCHA post-season competitions. Guidelines from the three organizations require us to charge students for tickets, set a price for regular tickets, etc. To off-set these additional costs, we need to charge for parking for post-season competition.
How do I order a parking pass?
There are two ways of ordering your parking pass(es). If you are a season ticket holder to any of our sports, you will get the order form with your season ticket renewal mailing. You can also order in person at the BGSU Ticket Office located in Memorial Hall. The BGSU Ticket Office is open M-F 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. You may either order all your passes at one time or individually prior to the respective sport season.
When will the parking passes be sent?
Passes for football will be the first priority and will be mailed in conjunction with the season ticket mailing dates for each sport or as they are ordered beyond those dates. The Ticket Office uses the following dates to coordinate mailings.
| Football | August 14 | |
| Hockey | September 14 | |
| Men's Basketball | October 19 | |
| Women's Basketball | October 19 |
