Since leaving BGSU McCourt has built a diverse and fast-rising coaching resume across the FBS, Division II and high school levels. A former BGSU graduate assistant (2019-21), McCourt most recently served on staff at the Michigan as an assistant tight ends coach in 2025, where he assisted with on-field adjustments, substitutions, individual periods and defensive scout preparation.
McCourt previously worked as a graduate assistant at NC State in 2024, working with quarterbacks and wide receivers and leading individual development sessions for freshman skill players.
McCourt also brings coordinator experience to the Falcon staff, having served as offensive coordinator at Belleville High School (Mich.), where his offense averaged 48.5 points per game. His collegiate background includes a stint as quarterbacks coach at DII Walsh University, along with three seasons at Bowling Green as a graduate assistant working with the offensive line, quarterbacks and wide receivers while coordinating opponent scout teams and supporting recruiting operations.
Before beginning his college coaching career, he worked as a quarterbacks coach with Quarterback University / Sound Mind Sound Body, where he designed the playbook and travel plans for a Detroit-based 7-on-7 team, serving as the offensive coordinator and primary play caller during tournaments.
McCourt played quarterback at Northwood University and was a three-time academic all-conference selection and the 2018 Go M.A.D. Award recipient. He earned his bachelor's degree in business administration in 2018. He later earned an MBA from Bowling Green in 2021.
McCourt is married to the former Maria D'Angelo, who played women's lacrosse at Grand Valley State. The high school sweethearts both hail from Bloomfield Hills, Mich.
