He has one brother (Matt)...father played baseball at Illinois State...was a four-year letterwinner at SCHS for coach Joe Cabel...served as team captain his senior year...was a four-time all-conference selection and a three-year all-state honoree...also qualified for junior nationals...participated in water polo...led the Saints to back-to-back undefeated seasons in 1996-97 and 1997-98...voted team MVP for 1998-99...was also a four-time academic all- conference selection...enjoys writing and reading about history, and fishing.
