WHY DID YOU CHOOSE BGSU?
“I chose BGSU because it was close to home and it has a good business program. Also, I loved how the school looked, and the town surrounding it. And, I had two of my travel teammates (Ashley Chevalier and Mackenzie Krafcik) commit to BGSU with me, so it was exciting to come to BG with them.”

- Named to the Academic All-District® Team, selected by College Sports Communicators
- Also named to the Academic All-MAC Team
- Played in 36 of BGSU's 44 games, making 30 starts
- Started 20 games at catcher, nine at first base and one at the designated-player spot
- Hit .200 on the season, with her 15 hits including three doubles
- Drew 14 walks to tie for third on the team, and had an on-base pct. of .348
- Had nine RBI to deadlock for fourth on the Falcons
- Played in 24 of the 26 MAC games, starting 19
- Hit .188 in conference play, with an OBP of .339
- Had nine hits, nine walks and six RBI against league foes
- Started two games in the Battle at the Beach on the season's opening weekend
- Went 1-for-2 with a walk in her season debut, vs. Louisville
- Played in two games, making one start, the next weekend at the Hoosier Classic
- Started both games at Morehead State, and had a hit in each end of the doubleheader
- Singled in the opener, and had an RBI double in the nightcap

- Walked three times in the Miami DH

- Hit .224 on the year, with seven runs scored and four RBI
- Made six starts at catcher and 10 as the designated player
- Played in two games, making one start, at the DePaul Dome Tournament on the season's opening weekend
- Had her first collegiate hit vs. Delaware State the next weekend, and also had her first run and her first RBI in that win
- Played in four of BG's five games at Evansville's tournament
- Had an RBI against Tennessee Tech at Auburn's tourney, then went 2-for-3 in another win over the Golden Eagles
- Hit .500 in the Toledo series, going 4-for-8
- Had a pinch-hit RBI single in the opener, then went 2-for-3 with a stolen base and a run scored in that day's second game
- Singled and scored two runs in the final game of the weekend
- Drew the start at catcher in each of the final two games of the Buffalo series, and had a hit in each game
- Made two more starts behind the dish in the Miami series
- Was hit by a pitch and came around to score at Akron
- Walked twice and scored a run vs. Kent State
- Made a pair of starts at Northern Illinois, and had a hit in each game
- In the latter game, that hit was an RBI single that drove home the final run in BGSU's 4-2 win
HIGH SCHOOL
- A four-year letterwinner at Dublin Coffman H.S. (‘22) for coaches Scott Tillman, Gary Brown and Paige Heasley
- A First-Team All-OCC selection who also earned all-district honors as a junior
- Hit .422 for the Shamrocks that season, and threw out 50% of the opponents who attempted to steal against her
- In her senior year, was an all-conference second-team selection
- Team won sectional titles in both 2021 and ‘22
- A team captain in each of her last two years
PERSONAL
- Born in Dublin, Ohio
- Daughter of Chuck and Deana Henkel
- Has two older brothers, Vincent Jones and Nicholas Henkel
- Plans to major in marketing at BGSU
- Has played travel ball for Ohio Outlaws Premier - Young
- Hit .400 for the Outlaws
- Was Valedictorian of her class, and graduated Summa cum Laude
- Has earned numerous other honors, including the Golden Shamrock award and the Celebration of Excellence award
- Also was a Borlaug Scholar award winner, presented by Global and Ohio Youth Institute/ World Food Prize and Ohio State University
- Lists her family and friends as her greatest influences
