Before coming to BG, Charles served as a high school varsity tennis coach at Northview High School in Sylvania, Ohio. Charles has expertly managed and developed team strategies for 18 players, emphasizing skill development, teamwork, and competitive excellence. On top of that he assisted the head coach in managing 9 varsity team players.
Charles’s commitment to youth development is evident through his role as a teaching instructor at Shadow Valley in Maumee, Ohio, where he has designed programs focusing on personal development and competitive strategies for young tennis players. In his time at Shadow Valley, he delivered coaching to Elite Junior programs and helped serve as a positive role model for young athletes.
His leadership skills and passion for nurturing young athletes’ growth are showcased through his work at Perrysburg Tennis Center and Launchpad Tennis, where he instructs players of all ages, leads group classes, and provides expert advice on racket selection.
As the President of the University of Toledo Club Tennis Team, Charles organized practice sessions, led the team in nationally recognized tournaments, and successfully managed logistics for major tournaments. His multifaceted experience and unwavering dedication to tennis make him a valuable asset to any athletics program.
Charles has also represented Diadem Sports as a team representative, executing sales and marketing strategies to promote their products.
He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with majors in Marketing and International Business from the University of Toledo.
