DelPiombo completed her ninth season on staff with the Falcons in 2024Â has been a member of a staff that has coached the Orange and Brown to back-to-back MAC Regular Season titles in 2017 and 2018, a MAC Regular Season title in 2024Â as well as a MAC Regular Season and MAC Tournament titles in 2020-21 and 2022, including trips to the NCAA Tournament in both seasons. The staff also coached BGSU to five consecutive MAC Tournament Championship appearances (2019-2023), the longest MAC streak since 2010.Â
The Falcons put together a historic 2024 campaign, finishing 25-10 with a 16-2 MAC record, capturing the MAC Championship and finishing as the NIVCRunner-Up for just the second time in program history. As a team in 2024, the Falcons set multiple Rally Scoring Era records, including aces in a season (231) and total blocks in a season (335.5). The team also matched the record for solo blocks in a three-set match, registering five against Buffalo on Oct. 17. The 16-2 MAC record matched the records for most MAC wins, best MAC winning percentage and the fewest MAC losses in an 18-match conference season. In totality, 38 individual accolades were added to the record book following the season in either the All-Time or Rally Scoring Eras. Among those including Alexis Mettille breaking the program’s single-season and career hitting percentage records as well as Lauryn Hovey breaking the Rally Scoring records for single-season and career aces.
Under DelPiombo's guidance, multiple Falcon setters have seen success and accolades. In 2016, Isabelle Marciniak was named MAC Freshman of the Year and MAC Setter of the Year, the latter being the program's first honor. Marciniak also collected All-MAC Honorable Mention and MAC All-Tournament Team over the course of her career. She concluded her career with 3,196 assists, second-highest in program history. In 2021, Hanna Laube was named MAC Setter of the Year after logging 11.23 assists per set, the seventh-highest single-season mark in school history. She was recognized on the All-MAC First Team and Second Team, as well as the program's second Academic All-American. In 2022, Lauryn Hovey played a outside hitter-setter hybrid role en route to being named the MAC Freshman of the Year and All-MAC First Team.
With DelPiombo on staff, two Falcons have earned MAC Player of the Year. Kallie Seimet and Petra Indrova, both being named twice, have won the conference's highest individual honor. Additionally, Julia Walz was named MAC Defensive Player of the Year in 2021, and Laube earned her MAC Setter of the Year honor at the end of the 2020-21 season. Katelyn Meyer was named to the All-MAC First Team in 2021, the first four-time First Team selection in program history.
DelPiombo came to BGSU after spending two years as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Samford University in Birmingham, Ala. Prior to her time at Samford, DelPiombo worked for two years as an assistant coach and the director of volleyball operations at Morehead State University.
While an assistant coach at Samford, DelPiombo managed the recruiting efforts and was the primary contact to all potential student-athletes, organized the recruiting visits and campus tours. She also worked directly with the setters, while also assisting in all areas of on court training, video analysis, team travel and the promotion and organization of the volleyball summer camps.

Michaela Reesor earned a spot on the All-SoCon First Team, while Chelsi Carter and Erin Bognar were both named to the All-SoCon Second Team.
With the loss of three starters, including the 2013 SoCon Player of the Year and the 2013 SoCon Libero of the Year heading in to the 2015 season, the Bulldogs finished the year with an overall record of 15-12 and finished in fourth-place overall in the Southern Conference with a 10-6 league record on the season. T.J. Russell and Bognar were both named to the All-SoCon Second Team, while Kate Neisler earned a spot on the All-SoCon Freshmen Team.

The previous season in 2012, MSU posted an overall record of 26-7 and went a perfect 16-0 in OVC play to win the 2012 OVC Regular Season Championship, their third straight OVC Championship title.
Over her two seasons with the Eagles, DelPiombo helped to tutor five All-OVC honorees in Ellie Roberson, Annie Gruenschlaeger, Leslie Schellhaas, Courtney Smith and Aryn Bohannon, as well as a 2013 All-OVC Newcomer selection in Alex Fitzmorris.
A recipient of a 2011 American Volleyball Coaches Association Coaches4Coaches Scholarship, DelPiombo has assisted in the coordination and promotion of summer camps at both Samford and Morehead State. She has also served as the setting position coach for both the Dex Volleyball Camp, LLC. and the Morehead Volleyball Camp, LLC., and worked as an assistant coach at the KIVA Elite Camp, the Joe Getzin Whitehall High School Camp and as an assistant camps coach for four years at Gannon University.
DelPiombo was a decorated player for four years at Gannon University (Pa.) where she was the starting setter her final two seasons and served as the team captain for two seasons as well. She finished her career with 1,754 assists to rank seventh in school history. DelPiombo also helped guide Gannon to three NCAA Tournament berths.
As a four-time member of the school’s Dean’s List, she was also a four-time winner of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Scholar-Athlete award during her collegiate career.
She graduated in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in communications.
