Today we announce the No. 8 story of the year:
Chiricosta Named MAC Tennis Player Of The Year
BGSU senior tennis player Nikki Chiricosta became the program's first Mid-American Conference Player of the Year in April. Chiricosta went 11-4 between singles and doubles play in conference competition, including a 6-2 record at the top singles flight. The winningest player in BGSU tennis history, she posted a 190-85 career record, including a program-best 96 singles wins. In total, she went 96-40 in singles play and 94-45 in doubles. While MAC Player of the Year was a prestigious honor, Chiricosta raked in many other impressive honors throughout the season, including earning the Falcon Medal of Honor by BGSU Athletics and being named a third team Academic All-American.
