Falcons Prepare For Great Lakes Meet

Women Finish 10th, Men 11th at MAC Championships, Regional Meet is Nov. 13
THIS WEEK: The Bowling Green State University cross country teams are idle from competition this weekend, as both teams prepare for the Great Lakes Regional meet. Both the men's and women's races will be held a week from Saturday (Nov. 13) in Terre Haute, Ind., with the men's race beginning at 11:00 a.m. local time and the women's race commencing at noon. Last season, the BGSU women finished third at the regional meet, while the Falcon men placed 15th.
The BGSU men are under the direction of second-year head coach Sterling Martin, while Cami Wells is in her first year at the helm of the Falcon women.
LAST WEEKEND: The BGSU squads ran at the Mid-American Conference Championships in Kent, Ohio, Saturday (Oct. 30). The Falcon women placed 10th, while the BGSU men finished 11th as a team.
Individually, the women were led for the fifth-straight meet by junior Christine Thompson, who placed 26th in the 100-woman race. Nikki Monroe was 36th, while Lisa Schroeder placed 40th. Brianna Killian (45th), Cyndi Bostdorff (48th), Libby Mitchell (59th) and Lisa Mariea (80th) also competed in the race.
The men received a 30th-place finish from Kreg Hatfield, while Dan Flaute placed 42nd in the 91-man race. Rob Glatz and David Anderson were 55th and 60th, respectively, while David Larson (65th), Chad Kunkle (66th), Vince Molosky (71st) and Nolan Fahrer (80th) rounded out the BGSU entrants.
