BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green men's and women's cross country programs earned USTFCCCA All-Academic Team honors, the organization announced this week.
The women's team posted the highest GPA in the nation at 3.94, while the men's team ranked eighth nationally in Division I with a 3.72 GPA.
Senior Kylee Cubbison was also named a USTFCCCA All-Academic Athlete. The honor is awarded to student-athletes who maintain at least a 3.25 cumulative GPA and finish among the top 25 at an NCAA regional championship. Cubbison surpassed those benchmarks, placing 14th at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional while maintaining a perfect 4.0 GPA.
"This level of accomplishment speaks to the academic focus and prowess of our student-athletes," said head women's cross country coach Lou Snelling. "We're fortunate to have an amazing academic support staff in Student Athlete Services, and our faculty and advisors are the best. They play an integral role in our success and preparation for the future."
"Our men's cross country team has worked diligently to establish a high standard of excellence in the classroom while continuing to meet the daily demands of training and competition," associate head coach Rachel Rhynard said. "Their commitment to balancing academics and athletics reflects the discipline and accountability we value as a program."
