BGSU Men Host Pro-Am, Keefe Invite

UP NEXT: The Bowling Green State University men's tennis team will hold the 11th Annual BGSU Pro-Am Tournament this Saturday (Sept. 25), then resume intercollegiate compeition with the BGSU/Keefe Invitational the following weekend (Oct. 1-3). Among the teams scheduled to compete in the tourney are Detroit, Eastern Kentucky, Eastern Michigan, Ferris State, Wright State, Xavier and Youngstown State.
LAST WEEK: The Falcons of head coach Jay Harris opened the season at the Butler Invitational in Indianapolis, Ind., last weekend (Sept. 17-19). Team scores were not kept at the tournament, which included Evansville, Indiana State, IUPUI, Marquette, host Butler and the Falcons.
Individually, freshmen Micael Lopez-Acevedo and Peter Gardonyi captured singles titles at the fifth and eighth flights, respectively. The doubles team of Gardonyi and classmate Nicolas Lopez-Acevedo won the title at the fourth flight.
