Falcons Off To Indiana Invite

UP NEXT: The Bowling Green State University women's tennis team, in the midst of three consecutive weekends of action, will head to Bloomington, Ind., for the Indiana Invitational this Friday through Sunday (Oct. 15-17). Following that tournament, head coach Penny Dean's Falcons will head to Kalamazoo, Mich., for the Fall MAC Indoor Meet Oct. 22-24.
REMAINING 1999 FALL SCHEDULE:October 15-17 at Indiana Invite (Bloomington, Ind.) 22-24 at Fall MAC Indoor Meet (Kalamazoo, Mich.) November 3-4 at ITA Rolex Regionals Qualifier (Columbus, Ohio) 5-8 at ITA Rolex Regionals (Columbus, Ohio)
LAST WEEK: The Falcons competed at the Miami Invitational in Oxford last weekend (Oct. 9-10). Due to inclement weather, the invitational was moved indoors and shortened to one singles round and one doubles round each day. BGSU, Xavier and host Miami competed in the tournament.
In singles action, two Falcons went 2-0 on the weekend. Sophomore Devon Bissinger and junior Tracy Howitt each went undefeated in singles action on the weekend. Four Falcons split their weekend matches.
In doubles, all four BGSU teams went 1-1 on the weekend.
