Falcons Prepare For ITA Regionals

UP NEXT: The Bowling Green State University men's tennis team prepares for the final action of the fall, the ITA Regionals. The regional tourney will be held Nov. 5-8 in Madision, Wis.
LAST WEEK: The Falcons of head coach Jay Harris participated at the Rocket Indoor Invitational, hosted by the University of Toledo. Participating teams included Eastern Michigan, Michigan, Northern Illinois, Ohio State and Xavier, in addition to BGSU and the host Rockets.
Individually, sophomore Ed Kuresman went 4-0 to capture the singles title at the C Flight. Kuresman beat a pair of Ohio State competitors in his final two matches.
Two doubles teams won titles as well. The team of freshman Geoff Hiscox and sophomore Mike Kossoff won the B Flight crown, while Kuresman teamed with junior Ben Ashford to win the title at the C Flight. The Ashford/Kuresman tandem defeated Peter Gardonyi and Sonny Huynh in the championship match.
