Men's Cross Country Places 17th At Regional Meet

YPSILANTI, Mich. - The Bowling Green State University men's cross country team finished 17th at the 2000 NCAA Division I Great Lakes Region Championships Saturday (Nov. 11). BGSU had a team total of 439 points in the 31-team race, which was held in Ypsilanti, Mich.
Individually, junior Tom Kutter was the Falcons' top finisher, posting a time of 32:15.4 to place 43rd in the 209-man races.Freshman Paul Niedzwiecki was 46th in a time of 32:18.4, while junior Rob Glatz was 94th overall (33:33.6).
Also competing in the meet for the Falcons were senior Kreg Hatfield (123rd, 34:15.2), juniors Austin Chapin (133rd, 34:29.3) and Chad Kunkle (142nd, 34:44.0), and sophomore David Larson (168th, 35:35.4).
The University of Wisconsin won the meet with a team total of 75 points, outdistancing second-place Eastern Michigan by a 25-point margin. Notre Dame junior Luke Watson was the individual winner, crossing the line in a time of 30:47.1.
