FALCONS BEGIN 4TH SEASON UNDER DAKICH
The Falcons begin their fourth season under head coach Dan Dakich. The Falcons have won 41 of their last 59 games since February of 1999. BGSU is coming off a 22-8 campaign which saw them earn the regular season MAC Championship and a berth in the NIT. BGSU was 14-4 in the conference a season ago. The Falcons have a 15-5 record against non-conference foes in the last 20 non-MAC tilts since 1998.
FALCONS PASS OPENING TEST
BGSU won its third straight season opener under Dakich, when the Falcons defeated Evansville, 92-87. Winning close games is nothing new for the Falcons. Last year, BGSU was 10-1 in games decided by six points or less, including a 7-0 mark on the road.
UP NEXT
The Falcons return home December 2 to face Duquesne of the Atlantic-10 Conference.
THE SEAHAWKS
UNC Wilmington is 1-2 after a starting the season with three games on the road. The Seahawks lost to LaSalle, 78-71, and defeated Alcorn State, 90-64, in the Sooner Holiday Classic, and fell to Duquesne, 82-73, in Pittsburgh. UNCW will play just two games at home (BGSU, 11/27 and C.Fla. 12/22) during non-conference play. They were 11-1 at Trask Coliseum last season.
