Hicks Named First-Team All-MAC By The Sporting News

Bowling Green, Ohio - Junior nose guard Brandon Hicks (Fairborn, Ohio/Fairborn H.S.) was named first-team All-Mid American Conference by The Sporting News. Earlier, he was selected to the league's second-team by MAC coaches.

Hicks led the Falcons in tackles for a loss (14) and sacks (7.5) and also finished among the conference leaders in thosw same categories. He finished the season with 47 tackles, two blocked kicks, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery and a pass deflection.

His best game of the season was a three-sack effort against one of the top passing teams in the country, Pittsburgh. He also had a season high seven tackles against Temple and Toledo.
