Falcons Defeat Lithuania Select, 112-95

Bowling Green, Ohio - Senior Trent Jackson paced six Falcons in double figures to lead BGSU to a 112-95 victory over Lithuania Select, Saturday night at Anderson Arena. Jackson, who was 10 of 11 from the field, added four rebounds, four assists and three steals.
The Falcons used an 8-0 run midway through the first half to turn a 28-27 deficit into a momentum swing which carried them to a 56-45 halftime lead. Team Alita cut the lead to 86-79 with 7:48 to go, however, the Falcons built a 19-point cushion, 103-84, with just over four minutes to play.
Junior Len Matela had 20 point and 11 rebounds and junior Keith McLeod added 19 points, seven assists and three steals. Junior Brandon Pardon added 14 points and six assists, while junior Brent Klassen had 12 points and four steals off the bench. Freshman Josh Almanson had 12 points and three blocks.
The Falcons shot 59.4 percent from the field and had 21 assists and just eight turnovers. BGSU will play Pella Windows, Saturday, November 11, in its final tuneup before facing Evansville, November 21 in the season opener.
