FALCONS READY FOR FINAL TUNEUP
The Falcons will play their second exhibition game of the season against Pella Windows. Last week, BGSU defeated Lithuania Select, 112-95. The Falcons shot 54.8 percent and were paced by seniorTrent Jackson's 25 points as six Falcons netted double-figure scoring marks.
OTHER STANDOUTS
Junior Len Matela had 20 points and 11 rebounds, junior Keith McLeod added 19 points, junior Brandon Pardon had 14 points and freshman Josh ALmanson and junior Brent Klassen each chipped in 12 points. McLeod Jackson and Pardon combined for 17 assists and just five turnovers.
PELLA WINDOWS
Pella Windows is an Iowa-based team featuring former collegiate standouts. They are 2-2 against four-year schools having defeated Southern Indiana (105-94) and Western Illinois (84-76) and lost to Evansville (78-77) and Indiana State (87-83).
LAST YEAR
The Falcons came away with an 88-76 victory over Pella Windows. BGSU was paced by 22 points from Keith McLeod and Brent Klassen who had 10 points. Pella Windows returns forward Carl Pickett (Detroit Mercy) who had 22 points in last year's contest. The visitors made 15 of 30 three-point attempts in that game.
EARLY SIGNEES
Cory Eyink (sounds like EYENK), a 6-7 1/2, 220 lb., forward from Marion Local High School in Maria Stein, Ohio, and Leon Petty, a 6-4,185 lb. guard from Indianapolis Cathedral HS each have signed a national letter of intent to attend BGSU and play basketball for the Falcons, next year.
