DAN DAKICH ON THE FALCONS
"We just have to get better. That's all I can say. We're just not as good as we should be or can be. We just have to continue to work.''
ON THE WILMINGTON GAME
"I thought our kids had a pretty good focus, had a pretty good direction to come out and play,"
"I thought we were good (at the start). I thought we were good no matter who we played against, but then we settled in a bit like we tend to do."
ON FACING MICHIGAN STATE
"I do believe this. In college basketball right now, Michigan State and Duke are the model programs. Those are the guys that you want to be like."
"They have good guys, they play hard all the time, they score a lot of points, so its an attractive way to play, and they defend you and rebound and they do it with what I call a personality."
"You approach a game like this, in my view, like you approach every game. You figure out how to give yourself the best chance to win and you work on it and hope that the kids take to what you have worked on into the game."
"I think its important to give our kids different experiences. The Palace is a neat environment and they are defending national champions. With any team you have different personalities. Some kids will be jacked and show what they can do and some will be uptight, its just the way kids are."
SENIOR FORWARD TRENT JACKSON
"Winning tonight, it feels good," Jackson said, "but what I'm concerned about right now is I want to go play Michigan State. I want to play against a team that is ranked nationally, and see how we do."
