Matela Leads Nation In Field Goal Percentage

In the latest NCAA men's basketball statistics released Tuesday (Feb. 8), Bowling Green now has two individuals among the national leaders while they still rank as one of the top shooting teams in the country.
Sophomore center Len Matela leads the nation in field goal percentage, through games of Feb. 7, shooting 64.2% from the floor while sophomore guard Keith McLeod continues to rank among the three-point field goal percentage leaders shooting 50.6% from beyond the arc. McLeod is seventh in the nation in that category.
BG continues to be among the best shooting team in the nation ranking fifth in field goal percentage shooting 49.7% while they are the 10th-best shooting team in the country from the free throw line where they are converting at a 75.6 percentage.
Bowling Green's 13-game home winning streak also ranks among the best in the country. Their streak is tied for the 15th longest among all Div. I programs.
