RICHMOND, Ky. - The Bowling Green men's tennis team won all six singles flights en route to a 7-0 victory at Eastern Kentucky Saturday (March 11). The match was held at the Greg Adams Indoor Tennis Center in Richmond, Ky.
In singles action, all six Falcon competitors won in the minimum two sets, with only one player losing more than four games. Sophomore Vitek Wild won his match at the top flight, while BG also received victories from (in order of flights) freshman Nicolas Lopez-Acevedo, freshman Geoff Hiscox, junior Brandon Gabel, sophomore Mike Kossoff and freshman Micael Lopez-Acevedo.
In doubles action, the Lopez-Acevedo twins lost in a tiebreaker at the top flight. Hiscox teamed with sophomore Ed Kuresman for a shutout win at the second level, while freshman Peter Gardonyi and senior Sonny Huynh won at the third flight.
The Falcons, now 5-4 on the season, return home for the next four matches, beginning with Friday's (March 17) match vs. Wright State. That dual is scheduled to begin at 2:30 p.m. at Keefe Courts.
