Men's Tennis Wins Second Saturday Match, 7-0

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The Bowling Green men's tennis team, for the second time on the day, recorded a 7-0 victory Saturday afternoon (March 25). The Falcons defeated Denision in a match held at BGSU's Keefe Courts.
BGSU won by a 7-0 score for the fourth consecutive match, improving to 8-4 on the dual-match season.
Falcon sophomore Mike Kossoff posted a victory at the top singles flight. Kossoff, making his first collegiate appearance at the number-one flight in dual-match play, recorded a win in three sets. After a slow start (a 6-0 loss in the first set), he won the second and third sets by scores of 6-0 and 6-1, respectively.
Fellow sophomore Vitek Wild won at the second flight, while junior Brandon Gabel was victorious at the third level. The bottom three flights all featured wins by Falcon freshmen, with Geoff Hiscox, Nicolas Lopez-Acevedo and Micael Lopez-Acevedo recording straight-sets victories.
In doubles action, BGSU's winning teams included Wild and Gabel at the top flight, Hiscox and Nicolas Lopez-Acevedo at the second level and Micael Lopez-Acevedo and freshman Peter Gardonyi at the third flight.
The Falcons return to action Sunday (March 26), with an 11:00 a.m. match vs. Robert Morris College at Keefe Courts.
