Softball Falls To Host FIU, 4-2

MIAMI, Fla. - Despite a homer from junior Jenny Domschot, the Bowling Green softball team fell to host Florida International by a 4-2 score Friday afternoon (March 3). The game was BG's second in the FIU Golden Panther Invitational.
Jenny Domschot had two hits in three trips to the plate. In the first inning, after her twin sister Angie Domschot's leadoff double, Jenny drove her home. Later in the game, Jenny Domschot hit the Falcons' second round-tripper in as many contests.
The teams had six hits apiece in the game. Sophomore pitcher Andrea Genter took the loss for the Falcons (0-2), who return to action Saturday. BGSU will face Wichita State and Robert Morris, before entering consolation/championship bracket play in the tournament on Sunday.
