Women's Tennis Falls In MAC Semifinals

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Bowling Green women's tennis team fell to host Western Michigan, 4-0, in Mid-American Conference Championship semifinal action on Saturday (April 29). The dual match was held at Sorensen Courts on the WMU campus.
The second-seeded Broncos gained the doubles point by winning at both the No. 1 and No. 2 slots. WMU was victorious at the first, fifth and sixth singles flights to earn the victory.
For the third-seeded Falcons, the match marked the end of the 1999-2000 season. BGSU, picked to finish sixth in the MAC Coaches Preseason Poll, ended the year with an overall record of 12-9.
In the other semifinal, Marshall, the top seed, defeated #4 Miami, 4-1, on Saturday to set up a showdown of the top two seeds on Sunday for the automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
