Falcons Host Xavier, Heads To NIU

UP NEXT: The Bowling Green men's tennis team, after going 1-2 in dual-match play last week, has a pair of matches this week, including a home contest Friday (April 7). The Falcons of coach Jay Harris, now 10-6 in dual-match play, will host Xavier that day, with start time scheduled for 3:00 p.m. at Keefe Courts. The courts are located off Stadium Drive, directly behind the BGSU Ice Arena.
Following the XU match, BGSU will return to Mid-American Conference play with a Sunday (April 9) match at Northern Illinois. First serve for that contest is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. local time (11:00 a.m. ET).
LAST WEEK: The Falcons went 1-2, losing to a pair of ranked teams before blanking Dayton. BG lost to #50 Louisville, 7-0, in a Wednesday (March 29) road match. The lone BG winners were the second-flight doubles team of sophomore Ed Kuresman and freshman Nicolas Lopez-Acevedo. Friday (March 31), #66 Rice bested the Falcons by a 5-2 score in a neutral-site match in Columbus. BG winners included frosh Nicolas Lopez-Acevedo and Geoff Hiscox at #2 and #3 singles, respectively, and the #2 doubles duo of Hiscox and Kuresman. The Brown and Orange returned home and won every flight Saturday (April 1), in a 7-0 win over UD. In that match, Hiscox made his collegiate debut at the top singles flight.
