BGSU Sets PRs at Virginia Challenge

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – On the first day of competition at the Virginia Challenge, Bowling Green set personal records on the track and in the field.
In the 100 meters, Kiersten Franklin dashed to an 11.89 finish (13th in prelims) and Kiera Bonds finished her sprint in 12.00 seconds.
Three Falcons finished the 400-meter hurdles in the top 25. Viktorie Krizova led with a 1:02 pace (15th), a new personal best. Christabelle Obi (1:02.86) and Alexsia Davis (1:02.94) followed in 20th and 21st.
In the field, Jenna Lucas reached 1.57 meters in the high jump and threw 12.75 meters in the shot put, a season best. The long jump saw Bonds (6.10 meters) finish eighth and set a new personal record. Morgan Patterson competed in the same event, marking 5.71 meters.
On Saturday morning, BGSU returns to action with the 100-meter hurdles at 11:30 a.m.
