The Bowling Green State University men's track is in 10th place of 12 teams after the second day of the 2000 Mid-American Conference Outdoor Track Championship being hosted by the University at Buffalo.
Senior John Hustler (Cobourg, Ontario) placed second in the javelin finals with a toss of 204'6.00" (62.34m).
Sophomore Eric Peterson (Kansas City, Kansas) placed sixth in his long jump heat at 21'11.00" (6.68m).
Preliminary results from Friday:
200m - Freshman Zerian Peterson (Lima, Ohio) was second in his heat (21.32) to qualify for the finals. Sophomore Ricco Oglesby (Columbus, Ohio) was fourth in his heat (21.91), while senior Rah'Sheen Clay (Cleveland, Ohio) was third in his heat (21.59).
800m - Senior Pat Miller (Waterloo, Indiana) was third in his heat (1:52.44), while freshman Ed Stonestreet (McDonald, Ohio) won his heat (1:54.26) with both qualifying for Saturday's finals. Senior Pete Lisi (Wapakoneta, Ohio) placed third in his heat (1:54.14) but failed to qualify by less than a second.
100m - Ricco Oglesby was second in his heat with a BGSU season-best time of 10.69 to qualify for the finals. Eric Peterson was sixth in his heat (11.07).
400m - Rah'Sheen Clay won his heat (47.89), with Zerian Peterson also winning his heat with a BGSU season-best time of 46.80. Both Clay and Peterson qualified for the finals. Freshman Keith Battle (Farmington Hills, Michigan) placed fifth in his heat (49.18).
1,500m - Senior Kreg Hatfield (Circleville, Ohio) placed fourth in his heat (4:00.89) to qualify for the finals.
110m High Hurdles - Freshman Austin Holman (Randolph, New Jersey) did not finish.
Pole Vault - No height for freshmen Drew Downey (Weston, Ohio) and Kerry Koontz (Bowling Green, Ohio).
