Men's Track Places Fourth At Akron

AKRON, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University men's track team placed fourth at the USTCA Quad Meet in Akron Saturday (May 6). The Falcons' team total of 126 points trailed Kent (188.5), Ohio (165.5) and host Akron (149).
For the Brown and Orange, senior Rah'Sheen Clay was a winner in the 400 meters, with a meet-record time of :46.99. Classmate Pat Miller captured the 800 meters with a time of 1:52.85.
The 4x400-meter relay team of Clay, freshman Keith Battle, Miller and freshman Zerian Peterson also recorded a first-place finish for the Brown and Orange, with a meet-record time of 3:09.10.
Bowling Green received second-place finishes from senior Eric Browning in the high jump (1.98 meters / 6'06.00") as well as the the 4x100 meter relay team of Clay, Zerian Peterson, Battle and sophomore Ricco Oglesby (:40.68). Clay was third in the 200 meters with an NCAA Provisional Qualifying time of :20.64. His time in that event also set a school record.
Senior Kreg Hatfield took third in the 1,500 meters (4:00.08), while freshman Austin Holman finished third in both the 110-meter hurdles (:15.23) and the 400-meter hurdles (:59.80). Sophomore Eric Peterson placed third in the long jump (6.83 meters / 22'05.00")
BG is now idle until the Mid-American Conference Championships. The league meet will be held in Buffalo, N.Y., from May 18-20.
