Three Bowling Green State University baseball recruits will be coming to campus after winning state championships as seniors.
Kyle Knoblauch tossed a three-hit shutout for Blissfield in the Michigan Division III state title game on June 17. Knoblauch improved his record to 11-0 for his senior campaign and career mark to 35-1, with his 3-0 victory over Berrien Springs. He struck out nine batters, including the final two as the Royals finish the year at 38-5. His only prep loss came as a relief pitcher in the 1999 state title game.
Andrew Hudak, a senior at Toledo Start under BGSU graduate Rich Arbinger, led the Spartans to their second state title.
Neil Schmitz, an Ohio Division IV First Team selection, helped St. Henry to the state title.
