Men's Basketball Begins Chile Trip With 1-2 Record

The Bowling Green State University men's basketball team is halfway through its six-game tour in Chile.
The Falcons won their opening contest, 86-67, over Club Sokol. Leading the way for BG was Keith McLeod with 22 points, while Len Matela chipped in with 15. Four other Falcons recorded double-digit point totals: Dubrey Black - 13, Brent Klassen - 12, Cory Ryan - 10, and Brandon Pardon - 10.
BG suffered an 82-79 setback to Universidad Catolica in its second contest, while on Tuesday BG was defeated, 100-91, by Osorno. Pardon led the Falcons with 29 points, with Trent Jackson scoring 23.
Bowling Green is slated to play three more games on the trip (Friday, Saturday and Sunday).
