Men's Soccer Falls At Dayton, 3-1

The Bowling Green State University men's soccer team had its two-match winning streak stopped Wednesday night by the Dayton Flyers, 3-1.
Following a 45-minute weather delay before the match even started, the Flyers scored three times on eight shots on goal in the opening 45 mintues. Sunday Isename tallied twice for UD, while Jeff Suzuki added a goal and an assist.
Senior Matt Lyons (Maineville, Ohio/Cincinnati Moeller) scored the lone Falcon goal in the 81st minute. After scoring three goals in his first three seasons combined, Lyons has a team-leading three markers this season and a point in four of the five matches he has played this year.
BG goalkeeper David DeGraff (Naperville, Ill./Central) finished the match with nine saves.
The Falcons will take a 2-4 record into this weekend's BGSU Classic at Mickey Cochrane Field. The 1 p.m. match on Saturday features Oakland University (Rochester, Mich.) and Vanderbilt University (Nashville, Tenn)., while the 3 p.m. match has the Falcons against the Ohio State Buckeyes. The classic concludes with two matches on Sunday. Oakland plays Ohio State at 1 p.m., while BG faces Vanderbilt at 3 p.m.
