Bowling Green, Ohio - The BGSU men's track team will compete this weekend at the 27th annual Indiana Invitational. The Falcons are coming off a first place finish at the BGSU Invitational last weekend.
This Week
Indiana Invite Information The 27th annual Indiana Invitational will be held in Indiana's Harry Gladstein Fieldhouse adjacent to Assembly Hall on Friday, Feb. 2 and Saturday, Feb. 3. Competition on Friday will begin with the first field event (women's shot put) starting at 4:00 p.m., followed promptly by the first running event (men's 60m dash) at 4:15 p.m., after which events will coincide accordingly. All efforts will be made on Friday to run ahead of schedule. Competition will resume on Saturday beginning with the first field event (men's 35 lb. weight throw) starting at 12:00 p.m., followed promptly by the first running event (women's one mile) starting at 12:15 p.m. The Indiana Track Club will also be conducting qualifying heats of Bloomington's "Fastest Kid in the City" competition on Saturday at 1:13 p.m. All events on Saturday will run according to schedule. Parking is provided on the south side of the fieldhouse (facing 17th Street/gravel "E" lot) and the building should be entered through the southeast doors. Admission to the contest will be $4.00 for adults and $2.00 for children and will be charged at the door both days. IU students get in free with a valid university ID. Programs, which include heat sheets will be sold for $1.00 on both Friday and Saturday.

Competition Preview
On the men's side, athletes from 16 schools are entered. Those schools are as follows: Indiana University, Middle Tennessee, S.E. Missouri St., S. Illinois, Indiana St., U. of Louisville, Ball St., E. Illinois, Bearcat TC, Bowling Green St., W. Kentucky, Murray St., E. Kentucky, Vanderbilt, Huntsville International, Tennessee-Chatanooga. The meet will not be scored so that unattached athletes may compete.

Complete race results will be made available on the Internet at www.athletics.indiana.edu following the event. They can be viewed and printed out by choosing the Men's and/or Women's Track and Field link(s) from the main menu. Weekly updates and season best lists can be obtained from the site all season long. Last Week
Junior Ricco Oglesby (Columbus, OH/South) led the Falcons to victory taking first in both the 60 meter and 200 meter dashes. Oglesby's winning times included a 6.84 in the 60 meter race and a 22.31 in the 200 for the Falcons.
Oglesby was one of seven Falcon men to pick up first place honors on the day. Sophomore Drew Downey (Weston, OH/Otsego) won the pole vault with a jump of 16-4 3/4. In the 600 meter race, sophomore Josh Cook (Clyde, OH/Clyde) posted a time of 1:23.29 en route to victory, while classmate Ed Stonestreet (McDonald, OH) won the 800 meters with a 1:57.64.
The 3,000 meter race saw freshman Paul Niedzwiecki (Adrian, MI/Adrian) finish first with a time of 8:52.73. The Distance Medley relay team rounded up top honors for the Falcons, winning the event in a time of 10:39.04.
