The Bowling Green State University women's tennis team competed at the Louisville Invitational over the weekend. No team scores were kept at the three-day (Oct. 19-21) tournament, held at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center.
BGSU's top individuals were junior Alyson Gabel and freshman Cameron Benjamin. Gabel advanced to the third round of the A Flight before falling to Wisconsin's Linde Mues.
Benjamin, competing in the C Flight, also won a pair of matches before falling in the third round. She topped players from Tennessee-Martin and Eastern Kentucky.
Sophomores Lisa Maloney and Jessica Johnson each posted one singles win.
In doubles, the team of Maloney and senior Devon Bissinger recorded a first-round win at the top flight, while the duo of Johnson and freshman Laura Kokinda had a win at the B Flight.
The Falcons will complete the fall portion of the schedule at the Fall MAC Indoor Tournament in Kalamazoo, Mich., from Nov. 9-11.
