Men's Tennis To Make The Short Trip North

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University men's tennis team will complete the fall portion of the 2001-02 season this weekend, heading to Toledo for the Birney Tennis Foundation/Rocket Indoor. The tournament will be held Friday through Sunday (Nov. 2-4) at the Laurel Hill Tennis Club.

In addition to the Falcons and host University of Toledo, participating teams include four from the Big Ten Conference (Illinois, Michigan, Michigan State and Northwestern), one from the Big East (Notre Dame) and one from Conference USA (DePaul).

The tentative schedule of play:

Friday: 1:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.

Saturday: 1:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.

Sunday: 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Following this weekend's action, the Falcons of head coach Jay Harris will be idle from competition until a Jan. 19, 2002, dual match at Indiana.
