Cincinnati, Ohio - The Falcon men fell to host Xavier Saturday November 10, 114-90. The team, however, improved their times from the conference meet against Eastern Michigan and Toledo and are looking to improve again at the Notre Dame Invitational December 6-8.
BG started out strong, winning the first event of the meet, the 400 medley relay by nearly four seconds with a time of 3:38.38. Senior Tom Mohlman also came out strong, winning his first event of the meet, the 200 free, with a time of 1:47.76. That time was a four second improvement from the meet one week ago against EMU and Toledo. Mohlman also finished second in the 500 free, with a time of 5:00.21. Classmate Adam Brown won his first individual event of the meet, as well, winning the 100 free with a time of 48.96.
Freshman Robert McRae came in a close second in the 200 fly with a time of 2:02.74, less than half a second behiond Xavier's Young. Senior Paul Bizzarro was second in the 200 back, finishing with a time of 2:02.08. Freshman Lee Whitson was third with a time of 2:06.82.
The Falcons finished the meet strong, winning the 400 free relay with a time of 3:17.93.
BG heads to Notre Dame for the Notre Dame Invitational on December 6-8 before the semester break.
