Collegefootballnews.com has named four Falcons to their 2001 first-team All-MAC squad and selected BGSU Coach Urban Meyer as the leagues Coach of the Year.
Junior wide receiver Robert Redd is the Falcons lone representative on offense, while senior nose tackle Brandon Hicks, senior strong safety Chad Long, and sophomore defensive back Janssen Patton earned first-team honors.
In addition, the publication rated the top thirty players regardless of position. Leading the way for BGSU was sophomore quarterback Josh Harris who was rated the eighth best player in the MAC this year. Hicks was rated 17th, while Redd was chosen #20.
