Miami's Head Coach, Terry Hoeppmer Quotes:
"First of all, congratulations to Bowling Green. This was exactly what I thought it would be. I have tremendous respect for Bowling Green, coach Urban Meyer and his staff. When I said that I knew this would be the toughest game so far for us, I wasn't kidding. They are a great defensive team. They threw everything at us offensively too. I am proud of our guys. It was a big win for us. We found a way to win another football game. They made a big play at the end to make it close. I am very proud of our guys tonight, and couldn't be happier."
Q: Do you think your hurry up offense slowed down the Bowling Green defense?
A: "I think it had an effect. We got a little conservative at the end. We missed a few opportunities, but I do think it had an effect."
Bowling Green Head Coach, Urban Meyer Quotes:
" I thought that playmakers were the difference in this ball game and that is something that we need to address with this team. A game of this magnitude in front of a great crowd made for a great atmosphere for a college football game. This is probably the biggest game that this school has seen in awhile."
" Robert Redd's effort on the punt return and Kurt Gerling's touchdown reception are plays that usually help you win a football game. You have to give credit to Ben Roethlisberger and Korey Kirkpatrick for making big plays. That is how you win games like this. I think that as a coaching staff we must identify our playmakers. Miami just had some big plays that hurt us, and we couldn't get anything going on offense."
