Falcon Basketball Gaining Respect

Bowling Green, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University men's basketball team, off to an impressive 9-1 start, has moved up to ninth in the latest ratings percentage index (RPI) and received a season-high six votes in the ESPN Coaches Poll which has them rated as the 39th best basketball team in the country.
BGSU has received votes in the coaches poll for four weeks this season, but has yet to receive any recognition in the Associated Press poll which is released each Monday. Perhaps the most impressive note about the Falcons this season is they have seven wins over programs which are ranked in the top 113 of the RPI. BGSU's schedule is the 26th best in the country accoring to the RPI.
BGSU puts its eight-game winning streak on the line Saturday at 2:05 at Indiana State.
