The Falcons won their ninth straight game and have their longest win streak since capturing 10 in a row from January 12 to February 9 in 1980.
The Falcons entered the day ranked eighth in the country in the latest ratings percentage index (RPI).
BGSU ended its non-conference schedule with a 10-1 record after playing the 41st toughest schedule in the country according to the RPI.
BGSU finished 2001 with a 21-10 record over the course of the last 12 months.
Since January 31 of 2001, BGSU is 19-5 and has a 7-1 record in road games, including a 3-0 mark this season on an opponents home floor.
The Falcons finished December with a 6-0 record giving them their first undefeated full calendar month of play since February, 1963.
Keith McLeod had his third 30-point plus effort of the season (32 points) and tied a career-high with six three point field goals made (Urbana, 12/29/98). McLeod is 15th on the school's all-time scoring list with 1,387 points.
Kevin Netter tied his career high with 18 points (Urbana, 12/9/00).
The Falcons allowed a season-low 55 points and held the Sycamores to one field goal over the final nine minutes of the first half.
Indiana State is the fourth 2001 post season team BGSU has beaten and second NCAA Tourney squad to fall to the Falcons. BGSU has wins over Ole Miss, NCAA, UNC-Wilmington, NIT, and Detroit, NIT.
BGSU rallied from a halftime deficit for the third time this season (Duquesne, Michigan and Indiana State).
BGSU rallied from a double-digit deficit (11 points, 18-7) for the second time this season. BGSU trailed Michigan by 10 points in the first half of their meeting.
In two games at Missouri Valley schools, the hosts (Evansville, 43, and Indiana State 36) went to the line 79 times.
