Women's Basketball Ranked Among NCAA Three-Point Leaders

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The NCAA has released the latest women's basketball statistics, and Bowling Green State University is listed among the leaders in several categories. The NCAA statistics are current through games of Feb. 19.
Through 24 games, the Falcons are sinking three-point field goals at a rate of 7.13 per game, having made a total of 171. That average is good for 10th in the nation. BGSU set a new NCAA record in that category last year, sinking 9.25 treys per game.
Individually, senior Angie Farmer (Wayland, Mich./Union) has burst into the national rankings for three-point field-goal percentage. She is tied for 11th in the country with a long-range success rate of .429 (39-of-91).
The Falcons of head coach Dee Knoblauch will take an overall record of 10-14 and a 6-7 Mid-American Conference slate into Wednesday's (Feb. 21) game at Eastern Michigan University. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at the Convocation Center in Ypsilanti, Mich.
