Women's Tennis Falls At Wyoming

CHEYENNE, Wyo. - The Bowling Green State University women's tennis team suffered a 5-2 defeat to the University of Wyoming Thursday night (Feb. 22). The dual match was held at the Frontier Tennis Club in Cheyenne.
With the win, the Cowgirls improve to 3-5 on the season, while the Falcons drop to 1-7.
BGSU won a pair of singles flights, with seniors Abby Bratton and Tracy Howitt winning in straight sets. Bratton's victory came at the #2 flight, while Howitt won at the sixth flight.
The Falcon doubles team of senior Erika Wasilewski and freshman Lisa Maloney picked up a win at flight #2, downing their UW opponents by an 8-5 score.
The Falcons remain on the road this weekend for a pair of matches in Colorado Springs, Colo. Penny Dean's squad will take on Air Force on Friday night (Feb. 23), before meeting Sam Houston State in a neutral-site match Saturday (Feb. 24).
