Bowling Green, Ohio - The Bowling Green State Univesity athletic program was graded 65th among the 115 Division IA schools in an analysis conducted by The Sporting News. The magazine graded each of the institutions in four "subjects" and gave each school an overall "gpa". The Falcon program was the third highest rated program in the MAC. Only Ohio and Miami were ranked ahead of BGSU.
The first two dubjects "DO WE WIN" and "DO WE GRADUATE" include data that are specific to each school's football and men's basketball programs. The other two subjects, "DO WE ROCK" and "DO WE PLAY FAIR" include football and basketball data with additional consideration given to each school's entire athletic program. The data examines the 1999-2000 men's basketball and 2000 football seasons.
