ROCK HILL, S.C. - The Bowling Green State University softball team won its first game of the day Saturday (March 17), defeating Saint Louis University by a score of 7-1. The game was the Falcons' second in the 2001 Winthrop Invitational.
In the game, junior Andrea Genter picked up the win. Offensively, a five-run fourth inning broke open a 1-0 game and gave the Brown and Orange a six-run lead.
The Domschot sisters, Angie and Jen, did the damage at the plate with each contibuting a double and two hits apiece. Angie Domschot went 2-for-3 with a pair of RBI while Jen went 2-of-4 with one RBI.
The Falcons, now 7-5 on the season, were scheduled to face Virginia Tech later Saturday.
