Men's Track Finishes Competition in Alabama

Tuscaloosa, Alabama - The Bowling Green men's track team finished up their third day of competition Sunday at the Alabama Relays in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The meet, hosted by the University of Alabama was contested over a four-day period by 63 men's and 56 women's teams from across the country.
On the final day of competition, freshman Dean Coticchia (Olmsted Falls, OH) was the highest placing individual for the Falcons. Coticchia's jump of 6-6 3/4 in the high jump was good enough for eighth place overall.
In the relay portion of the event, BGSU finished tied for 24th with three other schools. The 4x1500 team earned all four of the Falcons points after finishing fifth in a time of 16:30.88. The team consisted of freshman Justin Perez (Flint, MI), juniors Austin Chapin (Norwalk, OH) and Tom Kutter (Eaton, OH) and senior Kreg Hatfield (Circleville, OH).
Both BGSU track teams return to competition this Saturday, March 31 when they will participate in the Bearcat Invitaional hosted by the University of Cincinnati.
